My new favorite fitness store: thrift store

My kids love to check thrift stores out for some cheap clothes, books while I often find some random old electronics, records.

A few weeks ago, I found 10 jump ropes in a bag for $6CAD. I do not love PVC ropes for the durability, but they were too cheap so I had to grab them. I can put one in each of my bags and I will still have spare ropes.

On the rope, it says “The world’s rope skipping experts jumprope.com Made in Canada” but jumprope.com is owned by Crossrope according to whois lookup. So I quickly checked the internet archive wayback machine, found it really was a Canadian company.

Another quick search led to this jump rope online shop… and look at the name of people!

I’m happy that the small family run business is still going but sad to see they have to change their business name for whatever reasons then their domain is taken by a industry giant. Crossrope doesn’t even need that domain! They want all those redirected web traffic to their shop, buy super expensive jump ropes.

Now it’s time to adjust the length, put one in each bag.
